Mar 2010: Red Shouldered Hawk
A couple of photos of a red shouldered hawk that was sitting on a ‘sold’ sign on a vacant lot, flew to another post, and then onto a street light.
Dec 2009: Manatees at Blue Springs State Park, FL
A beautiful ‘winter’ day at Blue Springs state park. There were quite a few manatees swimming around in the inlet from the St Johns River up to the springs, including a few calves, and there were dozens and dozens of manatees up at the springs enjoying the warmth.
Nov 2008: Neighborhood Deer
A couple of photos of the whitetail deer in my local neighborhood. The deer are regular visitors, as a few of our half-eaten shrubs can attest to, but are more often seen late at night rather than before dusk which is when these photos were taken.
